Never let your past determine your future. Being born with cystic fibrosis in the 1970’s for most people was a death sentence. Fortunately, thanks to advancements in CF research, there are now therapies that treat the underlying cause of CF. Yet, not everyone can benefit from these therapies. We need a cure.
As an adult with cystic fibrosis, I’m doing everything possible for others impacted by this disease. Please join and support me as I attempt to cycle solo across America.
I’m starting on the rugged Oregon Coast, and moving over the Rockies, sweating across Great Plains, joining the crowds of RAGBRAI, pedaling through the Midwest, then onto the Eastern Seaboard, and concluding my journey in the nation’s Capital, Washington, DC. I am going to demonstrate that for many people with CF, we are now unrestricted based on medical progress as I cycle Breathless Across America. I am also going to remind people that we still need a cure for CF.
Raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which has directly impacted so many lives and has been fundamental in the medical progress for people with CF, is one way I can give back. Hopefully, more people with CF will benefit from future research so that someday there will be a cure for cystic fibrosis.
