Grab a pole and push out from shore for Constellation's 23rd annual Fishing for a Cure charity bass tournament Saturday, May 18, on Braidwood Generating Station's cooling lake in Braceville, Ill. All proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. There are close to 40,000 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis in the U.S. (and an estimated 105,000 people have been diagnosed). The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
