It’s that time of year again - well, at least for the second year in a row - where I’ve decided to throw myself into the gauntlet and run a marathon.
For those that remember, last year’s NYC marathon was quite the slog, battling 75 degree weather and humidity to finish an hour slower than I anticipated. And while some of my initial words after finishing were “I’m never doing that again,” I was inspired by finishing last year’s fundraising around $7K and have found my love for running has only continued to grow.
I’m excited to share that in 13 weeks, I’m going to be running the Berlin Marathon, my second of the six world majors. I’m also excited to share that I’ll be running on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation again as one of the first six to take the Breathe Team internationally for the first time. I was introduced to CFF from one of my best friends Leanne who over the years has raised incredible awareness for the Foundation to support her two younger sisters that have CF. Her work and sponsorship of the Foundation continues to propel the world towards finding a cure and I’m thrilled she’ll be there running Berlin alongside me (and so that she’ll be able to witness all my struggles and complaints first hand!).
Thank you in advance for your support and participation to this event, you are helping to make a difference for people living with CF!
Best - Ben
