Hi family and friends:
We thank you for taking the time to read this brief overview on Reilly’s health and his goal at raising $8,000 to participate in his first Cystic Fibrosis Fishing Tournament! Reilly is now in the third grade. He is still playing baseball and ice hockey. In his spare time you can find him fishing in the pond near our home, out on the boat with his Dad, or at the Inlet with friends. He has worked hard on casting lines and he can name almost any fish and share details about the fish. We are thankful he found a hobby he thoroughly enjoys. He and his Dad have created priceless memories fishing on Lake Ida and beyond.
Reilly has not been hospitalized since 2021 and is currently doing very well. He continues to take his medication each day and tries his best to stay healthy with his diet and staying active. He still has to take 750 pills a month, see his CF care team in Miami and have his blood drawn. Cystic Fibrosis has come a LONG way! That is a huge thanks to YOU . He is currently on a fabulous medication that has helped him stay clear of the hospital. There is still not a cure for this disease and we fight each day to raise awareness and funds. We will not stop until there is a cure for everyone in the CF community.
Please consider sending Reilly to the Boca Grande Classic. He is working hard to make this way there. He is hosting lemonade stands and selling tie-dye tee shirts. Let us know if he can tie-dye one for you!
Since its inception in 2007, the Boca Grande Classic Fishing Tournament has netted nearly $2.67 million. These funds have helped improve the lives of everyone with CF, providing critical care, developing new therapies, and raising life-expectancy from age 36 the first year to more than 56 years of age today. But we are not yet where we need to be! Thank you for considering!
