The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives. The outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year. I have seen this first hand through the remarkable life that my friend's son is leading. He has had so many health challenges through his 21 years but has faced them all with optimism and perseverance. His mom has been his biggest advocate and because of the advances in treatment he has been able to live an amazing normal life.
