For the past 10 years, I’ve been proud to be part of the Fashion Breathes Life team, raising funds for cystic fibrosis (CF) research. My inspiration comes from a remarkable young man named Oliver, the son of my dear friends Jill and Ben. Watching Oliver bravely navigate the challenges of living with CF has been a powerful motivator for me. We've witnessed his courageous fight against this disease throughout his life, and I can attest to the incredible impact that previous fundraising efforts have had on his journey.
 

For the last four years, Oliver has been able to take Trikafta, a medication made possible by the generous contributions from events like Fashion Breathes Life. This treatment has truly transformed his life: it has improved his lung function, reduced his hospital stays, minimized disruptions to his daily routine, helped him gain weight, improved his sleep, decreased his fatigue, and even extended his life expectancy.

However, it’s crucial to remember that not every individual with CF has access to these life-changing medications. Many still rely on traditional CF therapies, which demand intensive daily management to maintain lung health and prevent complications. These patients often face rigorous treatment schedules, frequent hospitalizations, and diminished lung function, all of which significantly impact their quality of life.

This is where I need your help. I’m asking for your support to raise funds for new treatments, research, advocacy, and—most importantly—to improve the quality of life for those living with CF.

Every donation contributes to cutting-edge research, supports patient care, and brings hope closer to thousands of families, like the Pleunes, who dream of a future where CF is finally cured.
