Dear Friends,
It’s race season in South Florida, and this year, I’m lacing up for two big reasons. Not only am I tackling my first major race since the 2019 NYC Marathon, but I’m doing it for a cause that means the world to me.
On February 2, 2025, I’ll be competing in the Miami Half Marathon rekindling JAKE’S TEAM, raising vital funds to fuel cystic fibrosis (CF) research and help find a cure for this challenging disease.
Twenty-two years ago, when our son Jake was diagnosed with CF, we formed JAKE’S TEAM, and ever since, family and friends have worked tirelessly to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Thanks to the incredible generosity of those around us, JAKE’S TEAM has raised nearly $1 million. And the impact is life-changing: People with CF are living longer, healthier lives. Today, there are more adults thriving with CF than when Jake was first diagnosed—a testament to the power of research and community.
We’ve been so proud to see Jake reach many life milestones: graduating from Garden City High School, then Florida Tech, building his career as a manager at Allegiant Airlines corporate office in Las Vegas, and most recently, getting engaged to his college sweetheart.
Your donation, big or small, makes a lasting difference. Thank you in advance for any support you can provide—it means the world to me.
Warmly,
Matt
