The inaugural Cystic Fibrosis Cup (“The CF Cup”) will be held on July 18, 2022 at Rockaway River Country Club in Denville, New Jersey, home of the 2022 New Jersey State Golf Association 121st Amateur Championship. Top amateur golfers in the New Jersey area are invited to participate. This premier charity-based golf event will be both a gross and handicapped 18-hole two-person team four-ball event, played from the men’s/ladies’ tees under USGA rules. Four-ball (better ball) is a competition in which two competitors play as partners, each playing their own ball. The lower score of the partners is the team score for that hole. A PGA professional will be available to answer any rule questions. The event will be limited to 60 teams. The teams with the lowest gross and handicapped score will be the 2022 CF Cup champion teams. While there will be only one team declared the gross and handicap champion, the objective of the event is for each golfer to challenge themselves to post the lowest team score that they are capable of.
Our competitive golf event is a distinctive charitable outing whose purpose is to play competitive golf while raising awareness and support towards the lifesaving efforts of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All of the proceeds raised by this outing will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
*Clubs participating include Rockaway River, Knickerbocker, Essex Fells, Glen Ridge*
