To the Baker Boys Battalion,
 

It means so much to me to be writing this letter alongside the Baker Family. It has been incredible to know, love, and grow close to the Baker family and the amazing community they inspire with their unwavering determination, perseverance, and resilience. So much so, that I want to take meaningful action in making a real difference in my boyfriend Gavin’s life.
 

For those of you who may not know me, I have been a part of Gavin’s story and pushing this mission forward for almost 10 years now, and feel very fortunate to have seen firsthand how much the Baker family and all of you have accomplished. When I first met Gavin in high school, it was clear that Cystic Fibrosis didn’t define him – his quiet strength, sharp humor, and incredible heart did. But as we've grown together, I've watched him face the constant demands of the disease, seeing how much it takes from him, never letting up, and how it consumes time that he isn’t promised. It’s hard to watch someone you love fight day after day just to live the life that you take for granted, but in those moments, I am reminded of his resilience – that his entire family also possesses.
 

Year after year, the Bakers have shown me how hope and faith can drive the pursuit of the outcomes we dream of for Gavin. Last year, ShamRockin’ For a Cure centered on Gavin and Jake continuing their father Jon Baker’s brave mission to find a cure. As Gavin stepped into this role, I felt a deep responsibility to find my place in this fight for someone I love and to contribute to a cause that is truly making a difference.
 

Jon’s determination inspires me every day to be an active part of this journey, fighting alongside all of you, never stopping until a cure is found. Jon’s legacy lives on in the way Gavin pushes through each day, showing a strength that leaves me in awe. It lives on in the way Pam continues to lead this fight with unwavering dedication. And it lives on in all of you—our ShamRockin’ family—who have been committed supporters in this journey, giving your time, your love, and your hope to move us forward.
 

This year, we are asking for your financial support once again. Because as much progress as we’ve made, there is still more work to be done. ShamRockin’ is about showing up. It’s about standing together. It’s about doing everything we can to make sure that future generations of families don’t have to fight the same battles that Gavin, Jake, and so many others are facing now.
 

Together, we will see a day when CF stands for Cure Found. For Jon. For Gavin. For Jake. For all of us.
