To Our Battalion of Supporters:
 

In 2002, our only son, Gavin, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Soon after that, our second unborn son, Jake, was also diagnosed with CF through amniocentesis. Our hopes of first football games, girlfriends, graduations and grandchildren turned to a future full of hospitals, mounting bills and a parent‘s worst nightmare. While we were fighting that dark cloud, YOU chose to fight alongside us as part of the Baker Boys Battalion.
 

In 2009, we decided to throw a St. Patrick’s Day party that would honor our Celtic roots and also champion the fight against cystic fibrosis. We have watched in awe as our humble roots grew into an epic army of friends and family. ShamRockin' has become a symbol of strength and hope that has raised an incredible $3.9 million and counting since its inception - a feat that has provided hope to countless families affected by cystic fibrosis! This year marks our 15th anniversary, which is a testament to YOU, the incredible community that has rallied behind us.
 

As we stand on the cusp of this monumental milestone, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for the unwavering support that has propelled our family closer and closer to a cure for cystic fibrosis. THANK YOU for being a part of this incredible journey.
 

In the spirit of celebration and remembrance, we invite you to “Pop a Top” with us on February 4th at 6:00 PM for a moment dedicated to honoring Jon Baker. Jon was a devoted father and the ultimate champion in our fight for a cure. He made a promise to his children who battle cystic fibrosis – a promise to never stop until a cure was found. Though he left us in 2021, his legacy lives on through the perseverance and dedication he instilled in us all. As we carry on the legacy he left for us, let‘s come together to celebrate 15 years of unwavering dedication, 15 years of hope, and 15 years of progress - 15 YEARS OF SHAM!
 

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Whether you started through Great Strides and the Baker Boys Battalion, through Shamrockin' for a Cure, Smokies GT, or Raise a Racket, and so many more, your support has been the heartbeat of our cause.
 

With your continued support, we can propel the fight against CF to new heights, inching closer to the day when a cure is no longer a distant dream but a tangible reality. I have a goal of raising $65,000 through this letter in honor of Jon. Together, let's make this anniversary a momentous occasion, one that echoes with the promise of a brighter, CF-free future in honor of Jon Baker.
