There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis (CF). It is a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease. It affects the lungs and digestive system. My cousins, John and Paul, are just two of the individuals who struggle every day just to breathe. The boys were diagnosed with this disease in 1998 when John was 4 years old and Paul, just 6 months. We have been blessed with so many wonderful memories over the years as we watched John and Paul transform from cute busy toddlers into amazing young men. Nothing has held them back from achieving their goals that seemed unreachable early on.
