Breath of Life Honoree
Robert Gallotto is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Anagram Therapeutics. With 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has dedicated his career to building companies focusing on cystic fibrosis (CF) and other rare diseases. Before joining Anagram, Mr. Gallotto co-founded and served as President of Alcresta Therapeutics, where he led the company from inception to the successful launch of RELiZORB. This innovative medical device originally developed for people with CF earned the 2016 Medical Device Design Excellence Gold Medal Award. He has worked closely with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for 25+ and is the inventor of multiple patents. In addition, he co-founded Allena Pharmaceuticals as well as Alnara Pharmaceuticals and held leadership roles at Altus Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, Ares-Serono, Sage BioPharma, and The Upjohn Company. Mr. Gallotto received the distinguished Frances Pew Hayes Hope in Action Award in 2010 for his efforts in furthering the mission of the CF Foundation. Mr. Gallotto has also been part of 5 corporate team of year awards from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
