Drive, Chip, Putt for CF
Saturday, May 25

You're invited to Drive, Chip, and Putt for cystic fibrosis, hosted by Peter Nee! Join us Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 8AM to 5PM.

All skills levels are welcome at this family-friendly event hosted at the beautiful Costa Mesa Country Club (1701 Golf Course Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626).

A $30 tax-deductible donation earns you participation (and great BBQ), and all funds raised will support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
CF stands for cystic fibrosis, a genetic condition that causes the body to produce thick, sticky mucus that clogs organs. This mucus can build up in the lungs, pancreas, and intestines, leading to breathing problems, malnutrition, and chronic lung disease. CF is a life-threatening disease that's passed down through families, but there's no cure.
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives by funding research and drug development, partnering with the CF community, and advancing high-quality, specialized care.

Event begins at 8AM and there are open slots all day long until 5PM. Each golfer should be about 25 minutes to complete all 3 events. Additional details about each portion, below (please note the DRIVE portion is not a distance competition). Click the "Buy Tickets" button above to submit your $30 registration donation, or click "Donate" to make a general donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

A huge thank you to Hole Smokes BBQ for generously donating and serving their delicious BBQ at this event.

Scoring & Competing:

  1. Each participant will compete in all 3 skills (drive, chip, and putt). Participants will attempt 3 shots per skill, for a total of 9 shots.
  2. Participants will accumulate points in each skill. There will be 1 winner for each category which will be determined by the number of points - highest number of points wins. Additionally, the participant with the highest point total in all 3 skills combined will be declared the overall champion!
  3. For the DRIVE portion - please note this is not a distance competition. Know your distance for points.
  4. Use of a putter is not allowed for competition in the chip skill. Competitors may only use a lofted iron or wood club for this skill.
  5. All scoring will be based on a 25-point-per-shot basis (maximum of 75 points per skill = 25 pints per shot x 3).
  6. All shots will score a minimum of points, whether they are in bounds or not.

Your support will help make a difference for all those with CF and their families. Thank you!
