Brian Shactman is the host of WTIC Newstalk 1080 AM program “Brian & Company”. He is an award-winning journalist, receiving three regional Emmy Awards nominations for his sports anchoring and reporting, and won the Associated Press Award for a documentary on University of Connecticut women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma. Prior to joining WTIC 1080, Brian anchored NBC10 Boston and New England Cable News, covered a range of stories at CNBC and ESPN. Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in English and history from Amherst College, and a master’s degree in English Literature from Clark University.
Brian has a hands-on role in community service with prominent non-profits and youth programs. His radio platform showcases local events and charitable causes, bringing attention to fundraisers, grassroots groups, and civic efforts.

The Savage Brothers is a six-piece band featuring a two-piece horn section. The Hartford based band, established in 1984 has performed all over New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and as far as Cancun Mexico. They have released two albums, including
'Population 6" which has been critically acclaimed and sold over 5,000 copies. The Savage Brothers Band has won numerous awards including the Best of Hartford by Hartford Magazine. On October 11, the band will take us back in time a bit to the Roaring 20s!
