Kyle and I are honored to be involved in Wine & Roses for the third time this year. We continue to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in their steadfast mission to find a cure in honor of our daughter Charlotte. Charlotte was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 2019 at just 8 days old. The diagnosis was a complete shock to us and our world changed overnight. We went from learning how to be parents for the first time to administering medication with every feed and doing manual chest clearance on a teeny baby.

Today, Charlotte is turning 5 years old and is thriving in Kindergarten. In just five short years she has been able to take two life improving medications - including participating in one drug trial. We have watched her pancreas go from insufficient to functioning - eliminating the need for enzymes with every meal. We are even on the path to reducing her daily airway clearance and nebulized medications! 

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives. The outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year.
