I am proud to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Georgia Chapter's Wine & Roses Gala. November 2nd will be the Gala's 25th year - we will be celebrating all that the Gala has made possible for the CF community and all those who have helped get us closer to our shared goal of a cure for those living with CF.  Sadly, we will also be remembering those we have lost to this devastating genetic disease.

I've been involved with the Gala since the very first Wine & Roses in 2000, serving on the founding committee as a volunteer.  I was inspired by the Pickering family's story and their 7-year-old-son John John bravely sharing with the committee how he used his airway clearance vest twice a day to help clear his lungs along with all his other treatments and scores of pills! Now, 25 years later, John John's parents are chairing this year's Gala (in the picture with me at the 2023 Gala), and John John is a successful dentist, married and new father to a beautiful baby girl. Dreams we only dared to dream 25 years ago!

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in cystic fibrosis research and care. Because of the Foundation, people with CF are living longer and healthier lives. The outlook for people with CF continues to improve year after year.
